Forschungsinteressen

Die Forschungstätigkeit der Arbeitsgruppe Angewandte Entomologie fokussiert sich auf die Felder Insektenimmunologie, Chemische Ökologie und der Interaktion von Pflanzenschädlingen und deren Wirtspflanzen. Hierbei steht das Verständnis der Biologie von Schadinsekten im Vordergrund welches Ausgangspunkt für die Entwicklung neuer Bekämpfungsstrategien ist.

Das Geschäftsfeld Bio-Ressourcen des IME widmet sich der Erschließung von Organismen als biologische Ressource für neue Leitstrukturen und fokussiert auf die Entwicklung von innovativen Strategien für ihre praktische Anwendung in der Medizin, im Pflanzenschutz oder in der industriellen Biotechnologie.
